“Well I got this guitar and I learned how to make it talk,” - Bruce Springsteen - Thunder Road.

I have officially now had real fanmail!!!
thank you! you’re one of my (admittedly numerous) favourite blogs!
You know, when he was in his prime and could actually sing obviously lol. With the full Jim Steinman rock n roll backing as well. That would be so cool.

I am this close,

to writing some Deamus of my own. Mainly because most of the time, I’m reading it and I’m like, ‘wow your grammar, that’s spelled wrong, that’s totally unrealistic, SEAMUS WOULDN’T SAY THAT, no-one talks like that, Seamus’ accent is wrong times a million, this is such a generic plot, why is no-one using magic, why is EVERYONE gay, your style of writing is very basic, Seamus is not a camp little schoolgirl he’s kick-yer-teeth-in Irish, seriously I can write so much better than this, JESUS DO YOU EVEN READ?’
Don’t get me wrong, some of it is very good, it’s just the odd few that annoy me and I know this sounds very pompous and the most un-modest reason for writing some of my own but idgaf :) Promise I’ll post a link when I’m done!
Everywhere you look there’s skinny “beautiful” models on TV and in magazines and normal women on the street torture themselves to look like that. And then they’ll judge other girls who refuse to conform like that and that’s one of the reasons I adore Lady GaGa. She will not ever let herself become someone who cares only about her looks. That’s what the fucking meat dress was about. Most people are like ‘ew she wore meat, she should be locked up, dat bitch crazy’ and these people are about the stupidest people on the planet. The dress represented GaGa’s defiance, the fact that herself and all women the world over are not pieces of meat and it’s disgusting that society forces them to believe that that’s all they’re good for.
That’s why I get so frustrated and upset when I hear my 14 year old sister ranting to me about desperately wanting to join a gym to lose weight (she’s very slim) and that she’s made herself throw up before for the same reason.
I know having this opinion makes me sound irritating, and very camp in the real world and that’s why I don’t have many guy friends, because I’m way too much of a fucking feminist and I know what pigs men can be, but I just feel like if I don’t say it, who will?
It was the first Bruce song I loved straight from the off. I remember it was New Years Eve last year and Little Monsters were waiting for the midnight announcement from GaGa and she was teasing us with loads of tweets before midnight and one of them was ‘Thunder Road just came on the Radio’. I listened to a live piano version on youtube which was absolutely gorgeous and so I listened to the album version and was so disappointed it wasn’t originally a piano ballad!
like Neville and Luna, Ron and Hermionie, Harry saw Ginny, and Dean and Seamus were sat together. Lovely.
